The GlasWerks LED Series has been designed to meet the aesthetic qualities desired in contemporary style, ultimately adding elegance and visibility to any outdoor setting. . Designed for light control and ease of installation and maintenance, GlasWerks LED Series luminaires have a precision optical system for true street lighting performance. Modular design utilizes many of the key components of the current HID version, thus a reliably engineered and certified conversion can be obtained for existing luminaires.

There are two different LED optical designs utilized in the GlasWerks LED, one for the full-cutoff flat version and another for the prismatic glass refractor versions (bowl or tear drop). In both cases, the light from the LED module is distributed by precisely molded optical interfaces or specular reflectors to maximize utlilization, uniformity and luminaire spacing. Specific LED boards are required to obtain the appropriate symmetrical or asymmetric patterns and full cutoff distributions. (Also see "Glass" tab for more information)

The cast aluminum electrical housing, has a smooth domed contour. A terminal block is provided with a quick disconnect receptacle. The housing is hinged with a tool-less latch to provide easy access to the gear assembly. The unitized assembly, containing the electronic driver and other electrical components, plugs into the quick disconnect receptacle.

The pendant mount version has a 1-1/2" circumferential reveal. This housing has an integral 1-1/2" NPT threaded entry with stainless steel set screw. The arm mount version is provided with two U-bolts with washers and nuts and two leveling set screws that lock the housing to a 2" nominal (2-3/8" O.D.) horizontal arm and allow a +/-5 degree adjustment from horizontal to the cover.

The optical designs of the GlasWerks LED Series include either a flat glass configuration, as well as borosilicate prismatic bowl and tear drop options. The optical assemblies consist of a thermal resistant flat glass panel, or prismatic borosilicate glass refractor mechanically held in a formed aluminum door frame. The door frame is attached to the spun cover with set screws.

The luminaire is finished with polyester powder paint applied after a pretreatment process to provide maximum durability. The finish shall pass the 1000 hour salt fog test per ATSM standard B117.

The luminaire is CSA listed and is suitable for wet locations up to 40°C ambient temperature, depending on wattage. IP66 rated optics.
