Sustainable Design With Quality Lighting

A 2½-day program designed for owners, lighting designers, architects, engineers, facility managers and others involved with selection of lighting systems for interior and exterior projects. This program is registered for 6.5 Learning Units (HSW) with AIA, 6.5 PDHs with NCEES, and qualifies for 6.5 NCQLP Lighting Education Units.

A description of the factors of quality lighting as well as efficient lighting. A discussion of how to specify a design that integrates quality with efficiency for a successful project.

Naomi Miller, FIES, IALD, LC - Ms. Naomi Miller, Principle of Naomi Miller Lighting Design in Troy, NY. Fellow of the IESNA, Fellow of the International Association of Lighting Designers, LC Lighting Certified. Naomi’s design philosophy is “to meet the human needs of the users in terms of visibility, comfort, aesthetic appearance, and psychological response.

It needs to be responsive to the needs of the owner/manager in terms of initial and maintained cost, and responsible to the environment through energy effectiveness and prudent use of materials.”

Itinerary:
Location

All sessions are held at the Light & Vision Center at Holophane in Granville, Ohio.

 
Monday

Arrive at airport no later than 4:00 PM, Aug. 4th. Reception and dinner followed by an evening lighting demonstration.

 
Tuesday

Full day session and dinner.

 
Wednesday Session until 4:00 PM.
