Intended Use: For Cold Storage Facilities, Industrial, Restaurants, Warehouse, & Food Processing.
Certain airborne contaminants can diminish the integrity of acrylic. Please refer to the Acrylic Environmental Compatibility Chart (HL-2445) for suitable uses.
Features: Designed especially for cold storage facilities where ambient temperatures are maintained between -20 F degrees and 50 F degrees, the HEF series provides the advantages of T5HO fluorescent technology, including highly energy-efficient white light and extended lamp life with minimal lumen depreciation.
Where every watt of light can add to refrigeration costs, the HEF offers significant energy savings over standard metal halide alternatives and improves visual acuity over HPS light sources. For dependable lamp operation in freezer facilities that maintain ambient tempteratures above 0 F degrees, two of the four lamps in the fixture should be operated continuously, allowing the other two lamps to be controlled by occupancy sensors (see options). In freezers below 0 F degrees, all four lamps should be powered continuously for best operation.
HOUSING: Fully assembled with rivets and screws, 22 gauge cold rolled steel is standard, with 20 gauge CRS available. Standard finish is white baked polyester powdercoat. Hinged, flushed door frame includes rotary cam latches, and is doublegasketed with mylar-coated PVC about the perimeter.
OPTICS: .125" thick clear acrylic shielding is standard, with a variety of prismatic acrylic lenses and clear polycarbonate shielding available. One-piece, precision-formed segmented specular reflector, using Miro4 enhanced aluminum with 95% total reflectance, secured with quarter-turn fasteners. Spacing criteria of 1.1 across and 1.3 along is standard.
ELECTRICAL: Tombstone-style bi-pin lampholders with locking PBT rotors. Electronic ballasts are Class P, high power factor, sound-rated A, programmed-start.
MOUNTING : The HEF series is designed to be suspended by chain, cable, rod, or pendant.
